new exhaust on the market (Corsa!)

I really like Corsa products! I've seen them around for a while on american muscle cars (vettes, camaros, mustangs etc...) - they are typically known for being pretty high quality, having a somewhat unique tone for the platform, and being rather subtle.

the setup looks nice but I'm not sure if the other aspects really apply to our platform (unique tone or subtle? sounds pretty loud!)

what do you all think of it? personally, if I didn't already have the Q300, I think this would be my choice. they have a pretty nice looking black tip setup as well. I also dig their muffler design.

I like the sound. Wouldn't be able to tell if it's overly loud until I heard it in person.
Sounds amaaaaazing. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. :(
Yeah. You pay for quality and small runs with CORSA.
The Corsa exhaust for the 2011+ Mustang sounds fantastic. That said I've always preferred flanged to slip fit connections although the greater adjustability of a slip fit may be a good thing for GR sedans where aligning mufflers can be finicky.
Wow sounds really good, how much they go for? Is it out for the sedan?
yeah they have a sedan model as well.

Sedan version sounds amazing but I fear this may be too loud especially with an aftermarket downpipe.
giggity. that sounds great, too.
yep, I was set on the Ark Grip due to looks and it not being too loud, but this exhaust has now caught my attention...strongly considering it :p it does sound loud though, which I'm not crazy about due to the cobs being bitches about that here. hmm...

It sounds a little on the loud side but boy does it ever sound good as it gets up to speed. Best sounding sedan exhaust I've heard so far at WOT.

I'm sure, and I know I will love it, but I just don't want to pay over $1200 for an exhaust and then a few hundred in tickets for it every few months. lol

I hear you. Our police aren't that anal about the loud exhausts but I'm more worried about getting the evil eye from neighbours.

Lucky. I might be able to get away with it since the system looks stock-ish, especially just the tips, and it is a sports car so most cops may assume it is loud off the bat. But still, it's a chance. Not too worried about neighbors for now, since I live in a condo currently and my car is in an underground parking garage :p
I like this exhaust. I wonder how it will sound like with ELH? I might pick one up when I move back to the States.
Just saw this thread yesterday, and being an owner of the new Corsa exhaust (2013 WRX Sedan) I figured I might be able to answer some questions.

Corsa worked with some of the guys in our local Subie club to develop the exhaust, and then once it was done they held a meet for us at their facility.

The hatch in the video has a stock downpipe.
The guy with the sedan has a catless downpipe (99% sure, although the video could have been taken before he got it). It's definitely louder if you go catless.

I have a stock WRX, and my experience with the Corsa has been fantastic so far. I came from the SPT exhaust, which I liked but droned a bit too much for me when I had the back seats down (which is most of the winter). Other than that, I didn't really notice much drone, but the entire car "rumbled".

I was pretty blown away the first time I sat in the car after getting the new exhaust. It's crazy quiet inside now, and it actually sounds like the exhaust is BEHIND you, not under or all around you. As a note, I only have had experience with the SPT CBE, so I don't know how much drone/vibration is present in the stock exhaust.

As for the sound, it's a subjective thing, and I'm obviously rather biased here, but I personally think it's the best sounding exhaust I've heard for the GR's. It's not too loud at idle, and when casually driving around it doesn't seem overly loud (however it's hard to tell from inside the car how loud it really is outside). When you get on it it does get pretty loud, but I think the mean growling sound it has keeps it from being obnoxious.

thanks a lot for the info. I'm assuming you have a hatch? can you give any mor einfo on the dsedan sound? have you heard it on a sedan with stock downpipe? I'm concerned it's too loud at idle, the cops here can be picky, but if it's a little loud I dont mind. Just don't want excessive loudness and tons of attention.

thanks!!!
damn good sounding exhaust

big turbo, big heads, big cams, catless, yeah it is going to be deafening if I buy it

I actually have a WRX sedan, and I was worried it would be too loud, but I think it's perfect.

Rather subdued when you're just cruising around but opening it up sounds amazing.

Btw, the guy with the catless sedan got a thumbs up and a "sounds good" from a cop once at a red light. Not sure I'll be that lucky but I haven't gotten any extra law enforcement attention so far.

Here are some pics I posted over on ClubWRX.

Warning: My car is not an STI, and it was also super dirty when these were taken.
