What are you folks opinion?

I’m considering a carbon fiber hood for my 2021 WRX STI. The MSP VR Style Hood seems attractive primarily because it is available as a paint matched unit and it appears to come with ducting to keep debris and water away from the engine compartment.

If there are other hoods worthy of consideration I am completely open to the idea.

Never heard of that brand. But I’m also a fan of having carbon pets paint matched. And maybe leaving a little open carbon as a small detail, not much though.

idk about that chassis. But the GD was an aluminum hood. So going to carbon really didn’t make much of a weight difference. It was mostly looks or venting

I don't mind if it goes all the way to a dark grille / headlights like on a GC / Bug or Blob GC, but if there's a grille surround that breaks it up like on the VA or even the Hawk, it just doesn't work for me.

I dig a CF / Kevlar hood on the JDM front ITR, but not the USDM one, for example.

Fenders? That’s weird. You’d think the tweaking would be on the hood hinges for the gaps to the fenders

Attaching a picture of said hood would have been helpful. Personally I can't seem to find the will to pull the trigger on body panel cosmetics. A CF hood at like $2k is so much money for non existent performance is just not worth it to me when I can spend that $2k on something else. I am too hipster, not really a flashy guy, more of a if you know you know type. Discovery is the cool part :D

The hood definitely looks nice. Idk about fitment or the brand, but if it fits well without quality issues, I say it is pretty good.
