First contact: Salesman.
"We aren't marking up, we think we should get at least one. We don't have a list but when it comes in I will call you first."
Second contact: Sales Manager.
"We are marking up about 5k because we can, just like we did with the S2000. We think we should get at least one. We don't have a list and it is going to be first come, first serve."
Third contact: Different Salesman.
"We have already sold the first vehicle we are receiving to a gentleman from New Orleans for 41k."
Fourth contact: Sales Manager.
"I don't know what that salesman is talking about."
Fifth contact: Dealership Owner/fellow Church Member.
"We are NOT going to put one cent of markup on this car. That comes straight from me. If your original salesman says that you were the first one to ask about it (and she does) then you have the first right of refusal to it."
Sixth contact: Sales Manager. (Made by my wife covertly)
"We are supposed to get one. You can expect to pay about 38k for it because of supply and demand. Keep in mind this is a race car and we have already had people offer us over 40k for it."
Sigh, looks like I am going to have to meet by buddy the owner over there so he can straighten these morons out. What a load of bs.
