Hello! Im looking to bu an Sti. Im patient, I can wait for them to sell for MSRP, these are some price quotes I recied today in email :)

The national allocation is as follows:
1,000 in May... we get 7
500 in June ....We get 3
300 each month there after....We will get 1 or 2
4,500 total for the 2004 model
This is the total annual supply for all dealerships across the country.

I have currently 4 available for sale. The car you found on the internet has been sold. I have 3 black ones and one silver one left in inventory.
Subaru is adding either a security system or a turbo gauge on some of them at the port.

Thanks for the inquiry. I have had many similar opportunities, but I sold the last two that we received for $4000 over MSRP. If you can wait for 6-12 months for the price to drop to MSRP, I would be happy to assist you then. Carr Subaru has one exactly like this and I invite you to inquire about purchasing one at MSRP from them. They have a $6000 markup. Where are you located? If you look on this board there are several places where there are discussions of dealers very willing to sell at MSRP that are great to deal with. You may have to wait, but you won't be disappointed. One of the best writes on this board all of the time. Look around. There are good dealers out there. SFRinNJ

check in colorado..... i just called all the dealers there and found atleast 4 that were for sale all at msrp... and if they dont have any just start calling around... to everywhere... if you sound like you know what your talking about when you ask abo the car (and tell them that you know of some that are msrp but just not the color you want) you will eventually find some at msrp... in 2 days of calling i found about 8 of them all over the country... though i probably called abo 10 different states to find those 8 cars... basically if you look hard enough you will find one (though shipping can be expensive, its not as expensive as paying over msrp.... for me it was $500)

sheeeet.... if your gonna spend $$$$ to ship a car, just spend it on a plane tix and drive it home!

i did the whole oregon state thing last week. everyone was over msrp. cheapest i found was $2k over msrp. then i found a dealer locally for msrp. yeah....

You should call the dealership, and see if the retail salespeople are aware that their internet department is actually pushing people away from their showroom. There is something very unappealing to being so obviously marked like a fire hydrant.

That's not how they actually do it. They all know that they will sell at the $3K over price. They just tell "Internet Guests" that they are selling them through the showroom at more than they tell you for the internet... Just a game.
