Anyone know of a reputable dealer in Texas that is working with people on STIs?

Is there such a thing as a "reputable dealer"? I have been trying to locate a car in Houston but no luck. Unfortunately it seems that several other cities are getting the cars before us. I am having to travel to get my car!

Where are you traveling for your STi Paul? I'm also in the same boat (Living in Houston with a bunch of greedy dealers!) and am planning on buying out of state. Seems there are plenty of dealers with extra cars @ MSRP not to far from Texas. Even when prices come back to MSPR in H-Town, I refuse to support ANY of these dealers who are price gouging.

P.S. Anybody with deposits at Gillman watch your backs! These guys can be pretty cheeky!

I have not found any good Texas dealers and that's why I've looked out of state (NY!). Good luck to you if you can find any.

Well here is what I have found in the houston area so far.

Gillman on 59 near BY 8 : Asking $3000.00 over MSRP.
I orginaly signed up on there waiting list and was assured that
"since you are on the list you will recieve the car MSRP". YEA RIGHT!

West Houston Subaru near I-10/Katy : Asking $8000.00 over MSRP. Also on there waiting list.
Was told a similar line as Gillman.

Please don't misunderstand the Subaru is worth maybe $3000.00 more than MSRP. But when I found three other dealers which were willing to sell me a car at there cost or MSRP, what would you do?

I ended up going 1400 miles out of my way to purchase the car. It is traveling to me as we speak right now. Should be here in 3-4 days.

I am getting mine from Huffines Subaru in Lewisville (just North of Dallas) and they are selling them at MSRP.

I am in line at Huffines, also. Chris Fleming (sales) has a good repuatation here and with the SOA folks in Jersey.

Sounds like I am in line just after GFORCE. :-? I am looking for a WRB w/ silver.

I am in at Huffines too, They are selling at MSRP. apparently someone for the early July delivery backed out on a White with Gold rims, and they went down the list for white car buyers and it came to me. I am not to keen on the gold rims so I passed, but they quoted me being an October owner and when I got the call in June it was unbelievable. If it was silver rims I was all over it, but I can wait till October.
