Lightweight Battery Options

I'm guessing that isn't the same company that sold cheap chinese intakes, and intercooler set ups about 15 years ago. You could get a full XS power fmic with piping, couplers and clamps for like $350-400 for a dsm back in the day.
still can Subaru Intercooler Kits, XS Power Inc.

I'm assuming he meant these guys
XS Power
they don't have any "direct fit" batteries for a VA but they do have some that do fit in place.

So I just stalled at a stop sign and my battery died while trying to crank back up a few times. Luckily someone stopped and helped jump me otherwise I would have had to push the car a mile down the road back home. Had a trigger reference error that pops up after a stall, I can usually just key off and back on, crank back up no issues but the error wouldn't even clear on my laptop.

I'm going to be looking for a jump pack or a good AGM/budget lithium with some capacity here soon, weight be damned, peace of mind is more important than a couple dozen pounds. I probably have 100lbs of tools I carry around in the back still. If the iwire relocation kit wasn't 500 dollars I'd relocate to the back and run an even bigger battery :ROFLMAO:
Do we have a list of sizes that fit the stock location? I've seen group 35, 26r, 51r mentioned so far.

idk how they categorize it, like group 35 is what dimensions but from a logical standpoint. Anything that is the same or smaller dimension (height, width, length) as the OEM battery will fit. So I guess logically, just look for the cold crank and amps you want/required, and then measure the dimensions.
comparing the dimensions like that is surprisingly time consuming when you're also comparing every other spec, but that's what I've been doing. It may be more cost effective for me to just pick up a cheap NOCO jump pack to match my charger

I've been stranded before with an Odyssey battery and an Antigravity Li battery. Whatever weight loss is not worth it on a daily driven car.
That's what pushed me to go ahead and replace my old worn out battery.
LithiumMoto makes a full size group 35 with 20ah capacity for 370 shipped, ~600 for 40ah.
I just went ahead with a regular AGM from wally world.

well it's not a daily driven car. it's a weekend toy and it's slowly becoming more of an autocross/trackcross focused car. i drive it once every 2 weeks or so, only on nice days. and less in winter. it rarely sees rain, never sees snow anymore. and just chills in the garage.

370 for a lithium battery? with no extra mount needed? what does that weigh? i'm intrigued
iirc they use "C grade" cells and they have that "restart" thing antigravity has for an extra $100. They told me 800CA, 20 to 40ah depending on price. Found out about them on reddit.
Its an OEM size battery so the OEM tray and tiedown should work fine.

For the weights they are quoting I assume most of the shell is just empty air. It would have to be. So it just acts as a "bracket" essentially. If I were relocating the battery to the trunk I wouldn't want that extra air, but since they seem to be semi-custom I hope they will stuff whichever capacity you want into the smallest possible case as well.
"I have an H5 ready to go, it is 230 L length
a grp 35 and H4 are both 208 L and 51 is 238 L
$350 + 20 ship"
"The cranking amps are 800CA, the AH capacity is adjustable."
"20ah - $350, 40ah $600... 40 is max"
i asked only about group 35, 26r and 51r sizes
