Something tells me that they probably won't be leasing any sti's, at least not at first. While leasing is more financially stable in the long run for the company, the faster turnaround with a sale is too great to be ignored. With such a rare item like this, these things should pretty much be 100% sold by the time they slide off of the trucks. Keep in mind that this is assuming the STI prices for 32k- range. *heh* Just my experience when trying to lease a brand new vehicle....

yea i would agree to that, for such a rare car like that and all , and the fact that you have to be on a waiting list to order the car, im not sure if they would lease it!?!??! But then again it might or could be if you fess up a few bills

The dealer from which I have orderd has indicated that leasing will be available for the car. FYI, the dealers get paid in full when they sell a lease car--your car belongs to the leasing company (bank), not the dealer. And the banks love leasing because most people turn their cars in after the lease term when they are worth considerably more than their residual value.

If you can lease a Diablo (and you can), you can lease an STi.

yeah, i just called the dealer i'm in contact with and he said it wouldn't b a problem to get a lease. honestly, i was sweatin a little bit. he also said he should know everything i need to know within the next month, so just a little tidbit there for everyone.

Most dealers will lease since there is no real financial reason not to. I know my dealer said I could lease or buy when the car comes in.

It is my understanding that the dealer is still compensated on a lease just like an outright purchase by the leasing company. The only concern I have with leasing is that Subaru typically sets the residuals on their cars conservatively meaning you pay noticeably more per month leasing a Subaru than say similarly priced Honda or even BMW.

isnt there a 72 month option on financing? which almost puts you at rates that are similar to a lease, or you think you can get lease rates down even more?

what would a typical lease rate be? (I have hardly any knowledge of leasing)

ok, no problem. didn't know this was a disney site. i grew up on clubsi, so i am totally desensitized.
i *apologize* man, my fault. i'd thought i read on the forum "rules" that profanity was "outlawed", so to speak, but it's not. i've joined so many forums in the last few months, i'm all confused. exercise your 1st amendment rights.

1st-

Leasing can be a good option in most cases. My car I currently drive is a lease. The STi won't be because I am honestly going to try and keep it forever till it's a classic (might happen, might not).

2nd:

No this forum is not Disney BUT IT WILL NEVER BE ClubSi either. Use common sense. If we start having a problem with profanity it will be delt with..

jiz us; settle down, dude. i don't see what the big deal is; we're all adults here. but regardless, i guess i'm the guest, so i'll try and behave. formula, u don't need to apologize, man; i'm a noob and i gotta b dealt with. i'm glad someone was man enough to tell me.

and what's wrong with clubsi? that is one of the best places to go for a laugh, especially si v. all. i highly recommend it for anyone, no matter what kinda car u drive or like. it's actually hard to find a honda driver on there.

and u can lease a car, even if u intend on buyin it. just get financin for the residual; it's kinda like a long-term loan. that's what i plan on doin.

peace.
