Hey guys....we finally have a forum.

Now that we have a place to talk, we need to setup a meet sometime. I'll be getting the STi here by the end of the month, but that doesn't bother me.

Let's get the shout outs in order first.....

I'm in the Overland Park 119th and Metcalf area.

Who else???

I live in Prairie Village around 77th and Mission Road. My car is supposed to be in the second allocation. They think it might deliver next week. I am not holding my breath but I am hopeful.

I sold my GTP this week so I am ready. I also have a bunch of stuff that I have been buying in anticipation of the new vehicle....stereo, mats, din pocket with springed hinge, clear bra. My wife says to"stop the madness!"
I am now looking a a cool looking STi radiator cap...hehe.

Anyway...lets hook up sometime.

Regards,
Stuart

I'm in Olathe, and still waiting on my STi.
My car is likely to come in soon, though now I'm all messed up.

I'm considering trying to move to a new house before I get the car, which means I won't get the car for at least 60 days, that is if they allow me to pass up the first one in and still stay on the list!

Decisions Decisions.

I am refinancing my house now as well as waiting on a STi. A 20 year fixed for 4.65%....wow....and that rate probably will go down. A great time to buy or refinance{or work in the mortgage business}.

Let us know what happens.

Yeah...I hear that. I'm just out of college and getting married in a few weeks. We were planning to wait a few years and have a healthy down payment before getting into the market...but damn those rates are nice!

sounds like tires not balanced

I'm north of the river in Liberty. My wait for the STi is a long and boring one. Being 7th on the list at a smaller dealer kinda stinks.

I have seen a black/silver STi running around up in my neighborhood. Anyone here claim ownership? I'd love a ride!

Haven't found any myself. Someone mentioned 100 octane at a station on Johnson Dr., but I don't want that much and I don't want to pay for it.

I'm just happy to have 92 at this point...half the way to 93.

There is a Citgo between Nall and Lamar on Johnson Drive that has 100 octane. $4.00 per gallon. It is down the street from a BP that has 92. I might add 2-3 gallons of the 100 to the 92 for summer IF there is any detonation.

Hmmm....we need to figure that ratio out....that might not be horrible....

We'll see if the det problems keep up......

Anyone in KC with an STi yet? My buddy from Bonner Springs took his to OH with him, and mine should be here end of the month.

Nabisco has a octance calc posted here- http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=379272

3 gallons of 100 to 11 gallons of 92 should be about 94 octane.

My car is on a truck OTW. The dealer says he thinks Monday or Tuesday.

NKC Subaru says that they have 2 blue, 1 black, and 1 white in the second allocation. WOW!

Wow....didn't realize they had that many up there.

With all of this ping talk, which appears to happen regardless of octane, I'm just going to run on 92 at least to start. The one problem with tuning a car to run on a higher octane is getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere with nothing better than 91 to put in it.

Just an FYI for any of you that are looking for the 3M clear bra locally.

Auto Glass and Tint
913-491-8468

Bumper kit and install - $285
Hood, mirror and fender kit and install - $199

If you get tinted at the same time..... $169 vs $189 reg price.

This seems to be the best deal I could find anywhere in town. Thanks for the hookup Hummer.....I wouldn't have found them without your input.

Good post on the clear bra and tint. I have been looking to get mine done.

We sell a product from Klotz that boosts octane 2.5 points in 15 gallons. It is less than $7 per pint. I took some with me on my trip this last weekend. Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin all have 93 at BP stations. I added some to the 92 that was at the BP station here in town. However the 100 octane available at the track was the best. However at $4.75/ gal not cheap.

BTW I am in Raymore just off of US71 & MO58.

I think that black one is mine. I got the call about 30 minutes ago: 10 days! I think the reality of two car payments is starting to set in on me right now. I set up a job interview this morning. With any luck, everything will work out perfectly!
