As of this past Sat I am a proud owner of Silver/Silver STi.

However I think there are some minor problems I will be taking the car in for tomm.

I was just wondering if anyone else has these problems as well.

1.Car pulls slightly to the left. I notice that while driving straight, and hold the steering wheel with both hands, my have to use more force on my right hand to keep the car straight because I find that the car is slightly pulling to the left.

If I let the wheel go, the car slowly starts to drift leftward.

2. Speedometer is in-accurate. On the highway the speed will read I'm doing 80mph when I know I'm travelling much less than that.

With that, again I'll be taking it into the dealer tomm but I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had these problems or know if they are common occurances.

the steering does have noticable hysteresis (memory). if you make a turn , then straighten out, i and others have noticed that wheel is slightly rotated in the direction of the last turn. a friend of mine suggested this has to do with the steering rack bushings. apparently the wrx has the same thing and a change in bushing is sufficient to fix it. (so i've been told.)

...There is a lever you have to check on the actual trunk lid. Hope this helps.
more precisely, it's on the half of the latch that is on the trunk. there's a lever and "cancel" embossed on the latch with an arrow swinging upward. i had this same kind of problem with my '91 se-r: the trunk release and the key wouldn't work. one time i had to remove the rear seats to get in the trunk to reset that level. i'm having the same problem as the original poster but fortunately haven't had to remove my seats...yet.
