Atleast you asked lol. I would not recommend putting on any intake without the proper tune on the car. I believe even the intructions for the grimmspeed intake state that you require a protune.
The better answer is just don't put an intake on it...no need if there aren't any other supporting mods. Get an K&N drop in filter instead and call it a day.
Getting an intake then a protune is like taking your worn sneakers to the dry cleaner.
I also wouldn’t install it without a protune or etune.
Recently I watched a grimmspeed build video they are currently doing with a 2020 or 2019 STi, and they went directly to get a protune after installing their own intake.
