I talked with my insurance agent today and he said the estimate for me on a new Sti would be about 375$ over what I pay now, (about 800 a year.) Thats about 30 bucks more a month. I thought that was good.

He also said many agencies won't even insure Turbo's. What have you guys found?

similiar? less? more?

How did he give you a quote without having the information on the car yet? He is probably basing that off of WRX insurance rates, which should be alright until people start wrecking thier STi's and they find out what the car really is. :x

Pics posted of STi in Alaska

I am 31 with a clean driving record, living in Northern VA, and I am with State Farm Insurance. Obviously, the insurance rate will be based on your age, driving record, and where you live.

My agent gave me a quote for $84 a month for a 2003 WRX, so by extrapolation I would assume an STi would be anywhere from about $90-120 a month.

Once we know the MSRP, the insurance will be another chunk of change that we will have to shell out for this high performance car.

Has anyone else estimated their insurance rates for the STi? State your age, driving record, and location if possible.

Thanks.
