Hello,

Would like to know if anyone has installed an amp to their system? If so, how did you get the speakers connected to the amp? I am planning on installing an amp in the trunk and was wondering if there were speakers wire in the trunk that I can tap into or do I need to run speaker wire from the front and rear speakers?

i have an 5channel amp in the trunk. i didn't do the install, but talked to my installer to understand how he did it. he ran three pair of preamp-level wires (front, rear, sub) from the head unit to the trunk, into the amp, then ran two pair of speaker-level wires (front and rear) from the amp back to the front/center console to tap into the OEM speaker connector, thus reusing the OEM wiring harness to the speaker locations. make sense?? there is no speaker wiring in the trunk.

Yeah, that makes sense. Just wanted to know if there was a way to connect the speakers without having to run wire to the front.
