Injector + Pump = need to re-tune?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, I didn't see anything obvious in my search results.

I'm planning, well, a lot of things, but on the list is an injector/fuel pump upgrade and my question is, do I need a re-tune after installation? I'm planning a re-tune anyway, but its one of those things where I'll get the parts on a tuesday, install them on a wednesday night, then drive 45 miles on a saturday to get the tune done and just want to make sure I'm not going to break anything in the process.

Why the injectors? Well, I'm fairly certain that (as per another thread I've got open) at least one is clogged or has some sort of issue and I figured if I'm going through the trouble of pulling them, I might as well do an upgrade while I'm at it.

Any thoughts?

Yes with larger injectors you will definitely need a new tune as they will have to be scaled according to how large they are. (This is assuming you are going with larger ones than stock.)

Ok, I figured as much... I guess I'm just more worried if I'm going to cause any problems on my way to the tuner since I'll be installing the injectors before hand and then driving there. Perhaps I should do it in the parking lot... lol

You arent the first person who's had to install injectors and then drive it to get it tuned :)

What you can do is have the tuner e-mail you a base map scaled accordingly for those injectors. Just remember to keep out of boost range while driving there.

Okydokey. Thanks for the info :)
