I’m going to be kicking myself if I have a boost leak after switching out the tried and true TiAL BOV that I’ve had for 14 years. All for the type S sound haha

If i'm not mistaken the type s has 2 vacuum ports on the rear of the bov. One on top of the hat and one below it. If you leave the underside capped it should hold significantly more pressure at the cost of part throttle response. There was a mod we used to do on factory 1g dsm bov's that would allow them to retain the factory quick release feature up to a certain psi then cut off the underside port with a 3 port mac solenoid to allow for higher holding capacity. Unfortunately the company that made the part 20 years ago isn't around anymore. But below is a link an explanation of how/why you would mod the factory bov and a diagram of how you would run the Mac valve

I’ve been over 800whp for a good 3 years now and I decided to switch over to NGK 4901 race plugs from NGK 2309 regular iridiums. They are both one step colder and both gapped to 0.024”. The NKG race plugs are 4x more expensive per plug. After switching over I am AMAZED by the difference they made. The throttle response and power delivery is greatly improved even at part throttle. At WOT the car pulls at a level I have never felt before! I recommend you guys try the NGK race plugs if you want to squeeze every ounce of power from the engine :)

Are you running a factory ignition system with just better plugs or have you upgraded other pieces too?

After 15 years of sculpting the car and trying different parts, I’m satisfied with how the car feels. Making the car fast is easy but domesticating a fast car to make it more livable on a daily basis is more difficult. I would say the most impactful modifications I’ve done to make the car more comfortable without sacrificing performance are:

1. EWG bypass on quiet exhaust - gained 80whp while keeping a quiet 3”
Milltek exhaust

2. Fluidampr pulley - drastic difference in smoothing out engine harshness and vibration

3. Switching from Russell Pro Series fuel lines to Vibrant PTFE lines and fittings - completely got rid of the fuel smell

4. Switching from polyurethane kartboy pitch stop to GroupN hard rubber pitch stop

5. ACT 6puck to Exedy triple plate - way less clutch engagement harshness

hopefully people will find this helpful :)

The IAG stage 4 extreme block currently has 25,000 miles on it at >800whp, we’ll see if it can get to 30,000!
