Having the engine harness replaced, I figured given 14 years of wear and tear and two engine fires (PS fluid leak and faulty fuel pump wiring), it would completely clear up any hesitation I have up top. The car is around 180k miles this month and will need the 30k interval maintenance. Closing in on 200k!

also had the JB4 installed on the Outback and running the E30 map for +50hp. Downpipe is coming in this week LOL

Got the STI back after engine harness replacement and also changed out the urethane Kartboy pitchstop to a hard rubber GroupN pitchstop for better comfort. Car drives great :) even less harshness than before.

I popped a random P003A code on the Outback with the JB4 after 2000 miles. I clear the code with the JB4 but the car is only able to hit 5psi. The code comes back and throw the car in limp mode. It’s uncharted territory modding the FA24DIT with a piggyback. I think my Electronic Wastegate or turbo actuator is the root of the problem. There was only one occurrence of P003A in the past years and now me and couple of 2022 WRX owners have experienced it with the JB4. You be the judge lol

I bought the car 11/28/2008 and I’m now coming up to the 15th year or ownership :) nothing beats driving a big turbo STI to this day :)

Never selling the STI :) the WRX was sold

I fixed the engine code on my 2023 Outback XT due to a seized wastegate actuator arm stuck in open position. Downpipe going on tomorrow :)

the FA24DIT putting down insane numbers with simple bolt ons https://www.reddit.com/r/2022wrx/comments/zoblxc
Hopefully my Outback XT will be at that level some day :)

Jr certainly posted up some impressive numbers not too long ago. It shouldn't be long until we see a mid 11 second, lightly modded vb wrx. Are you going to be switching to the AP over the job?
Kozmic in Texas posted an 11 second ET slip yesterday IIRC.

I put a catted downpipe onto the stock exhaust and tweaked the JB4 to accommodate it :) sleeper dad wagon

Hey user1029....I've been reading up on your build and just signed up on the board. I just picked a 2011 GR sedan about a month ago w/140k on it. and ordered an IAG stg 2.5 closed deck short block, ARP 625+ head studs, IAG Cooper Ring Head Gasket,32mm&36mm intake and exh valves w/ valve guides. I'll be following some of what you did in your journal as a guide (thanks a million for cataloging your build) (y)

You have any recommendations on best components to get since I'm still in the beginning stages? My plan/goal is only approx 500whp on the block, semi-daily driver. I'll be starting a journal (prob today) so I don't bum rush your thread.

Nice build so far! I would say a GTX3076 would be perfect for your build. I’m a big fan of rotated kits and ETS makes a great Vband kit that includes header, EWG, etc

I decided to buy an NGR type S BOV and flange, I’ve always loved the sound :) if it can’t hold 40psi I’ll swap the piping with Tial BOV back LOL still ricing in 2023
