Can everyone that has an STI do me a favor? On the windshield wiper column, there are two extra options. One is where you push in the button and it sprays a blast of water and swipes the blades about 3 times. The other is when you pull the stick towards you (The stick says "Mist") and, according to the book, it will spray and swipe for as long as you hold it. My civic was exactly the same way. Problem is that when I pull it towards me, nothing happens. Is mine just wired wrong or something?

When I pull mine towards me it just wipes the windshield, no mist.

Ditto, no wiper fluid when pulled. I believe this is just for removing a "mist" on the windshield. Not for releasing wiper fluid.

Maybe I just read the book wrong then. I am going to go recheck it. For all I know, I might be confusing the way my Civic worked as well (i.e. whether I was pushing a button or pulling it towards me). Good to know that it isn't just me though.

Yeah, mist is just to manually control the wipers. That's pretty much a staple on all newer cars.

Same thing happened to me on my WRX I was on the way to the dealer when I discovered that you just need to keep pumping it until the water comes out of both. It took quite a few pulls to get it to squirt. No porn star pun intended.
