How to remove HVAC temp sensor "aspirator" hose in 2004 STi?

Anyone have suggestions how to remove the temp sensor "aspirator" tubing from the HVAC trim panel in a 2004 STi? It's an odd type of connector, and all the service manual says is to remove it...not how.

How do I disconnect this thing without destroying it?

All suggestions / pics welcome!

Pull it off. It's just a tube over a large 'nipple' that's a push fitting - similar to vacuum hose in the engine bay.
Light 'squeeze' just behind the 'barb' to oval the house and give it a bit of a pull. Should come right off.
