Being a college student, I am trying to figure out how I can afford a new STi. I am curious, how old are most people that are considering this car, and secondly, what kind of jobs do you have to pay for it? I'm a business major so I will make a fair amount of money when I get out, it's just whether I will be making enough to afford the STi. There is no other car that I am even considering besides the plain WRX. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

30k is steep but doable for most college grads I'd imagine.. The STi is a fantastic deal for the money, and will probably last you a long time being a Subaru.

If you think about it, most people take 5 year loans on a car and will end up paying probably pay 7-8k a year or so on a 30k loan. Granted if you have kids/ wife/ house payments already its pretty rough..

Count yourself lucky that you guys in US pay a lot les for cars than the rest of us.If one take a value conversion (not exchange rate) we are paying the equivalent of approx $90K.That's the equiv of $2000 a month if you take 16% interest.Don't complain. Enjoy.
