Why do I need the extra cleaning products?
What exactly do they do on top of the wheel cleaner?
You should describe what stages you use the other cleaner (not the sonax).

I have old brake dust and rust from my worn brakes on my stock enkeis that wont come off with any of the pep boys wheel cleaners. Will the sonax work?

your best bet would be to pull off the wheels to do a complete detail on them, Sonax will help but a ton of elbow grease seems to be what's needed to get them all cleaned up.car is 2 years old. Wheels have been cleaned but never taken off to clean. I have tried toothbrushes

Been a few weeks but wheel is stained with rust that came from the brakes. I have tried scrubbing with Mcquires aluminum wheel cleaner and toothbrush and only a little has come off. Its just the one wheel that is bad.how long has the brake dust been on there?

Hey Phil, I have some sticky gunk around my lug nuts. Haven't had any luck getting it off with Sonax or anything else. Car only has ~5000 miles. I don't know if its grease or what. Any experience with this?

War bunny, try WD-40 to get the sticky goo off. All the Subies I have owned do this and the WD-40 does the trick, just spray on and let it sit a couple minutes prior to wiping.
