This is from another thread in the STi Handling/Braking Forum. I moved it here as best I could...

Hey All,
Maybe I should start a new thread for this question but I was wondering about the set of lights next to there the DCCD light is. It says "Auto" and right below that it says "Lock" and below that are a bunch of arrows pointing down. Is that so you tell what setting you have the center diff at. Or is it something completely different.
Thanks
Jared
This is not a direct answer to your question, but here goes. You are referring to the instrument panel indicators. The original post in this thread answers the question what settings are available. I did not have the pleasure of seeing the instrument panel while the car was running.
I can tell you this. There are two controls on the center console. One to the left beside the parking brake handle, and one to the left in front of the pbrake handle. The one in front is a dial with a locked position F/R (45/55, or 50/50), depending the source, and then turn the dial all the way to (0/100, or 35/65) again depending on the information source. The rocker switch beside the brake is for DCCD mode selection "Auto", or "Manual" mode, although the switch is labeled differently. I think that one is self explanatory.
Again: in the "Auto" mode the computer controls the power split front to rear and in the "Manual" mode you use the dial to control it from locked at 50/50 (there is a detent here in the switch, rotated back all the way) to rotating forward to a dialed setting (35/65), or the other values which I have heard, but have no other basis for. So, the further forward the more oversteer, or power to the rear. I hope this helps.
I have some video of this which I hope to post soon.
