Clint's 2014: WRX/STI Mega Order Thread

I'm 50 and have owned over 30 cars of various makes. Most have been performance vehicles. I have a great relationship with my local dealers. I regularly utilize e-commerce venues for various purchases but had never done so for a new car purchase.
I ordered a 2014 STI Hatch from Clint on 12/16/13 and received my car 01/31/14. I have owned several Subarus but this is my first STI. I am very happy with the car. I' m even happier with Clint's level of commitment and professionalism!
I'm a consultant by trade and spend a fair amount of time analyzing production, handling and processing systems. That said, for those of you who understand systems, you know that even the best system can fail. When systems (physical and technical) fail, humans are tested to right the shortcomings of systems.
In this case, the car arrived at the dealership later than expected. Clint knew I had to take delivery of the car on 01/31/14 because my previous daily (04 R32) was pre sold with promised delivery of 01/31/14. Even though Clint received the STI later than expected he (and the folks at Heuberger Motors) made sure the STI arrived on time. The delivery driver was professional, prepared and generally a very nice person.
I live in Indiana and we do not have front bumper plates. Clint and I discussed the fact that I did not want the front bumper drilled due to the fact I would not be utilizing a front plate. As you know, Colorado does require front plates. Anyway, a new employee missed the memo regarding NOT drilling the front bumper of my STI. The bumper was drilled. I was upset and expressed this to Clint.
Clint went to bat for me and explained the mistake to Heuberger management. I forwarded an honest quote from my local Subaru dealership for repair of the front bumper to Clint. I received a check yesterday from Heuberger Motors to cover the cost of bumper repair.
I was originally drawn to order a car from Heuberger Motors because Clint understands (IMO) how to properly option a car and he has worked the system to bring us the best prices for these really great cars. But after Clint and the other wonderful employees corrected mistakes beyond their control with professionalism and politeness I'm even more impressed by their commitment to deliver great service!
For those of you considering a new Subaru you should look no further than Heuberger Motors! Huge thanks to Clint and Heuberger Motors for a job well done! :tup:
