Heres our 03 STi (Australian spec) with 18" OZ racing superturismo, Apexi N1 exhaust, STi braided brake lines, STi front carbon fibre strut brace, STi aluminium rear strut brace, STi titanium gear knob and compressed STi springs.
It was picked up from one of (if not) the largest subaru dealership in the world and to the best of my knowledge the only STi showroom outside of Japan (specialised STi showroom...no non pink badge cars allowed!). it is also home to subaru rally team australia.
id love to know what you think of our ride.

heres another...cleaner in this pic

and heres one of the lovely rear end...

look forward to hearing your thoughts...oh and just because it doesnt come with the 2.5 doesnt mean it cant goooo!!! after all, the wrCar has a 2litre mill.

Mini RC 2003 WRX STi- Toys R Us

Looks great!

So all those options were installed by the dealer? What else do they have in this STi showroom besides Imprezas?

thanx...

yes all of those options were fitted by the dealer, except the apexi N1 (diff back i must add), which they said should not be a problem concerning warranty.

at the moment they are only selling the Impreza STis, however they have started a collection of STis, which include the rare 22b, version 3 STi (type RA), legacy S401 and version 5 and 6 STis...

the showroom actually shares a glass wall with the rally team garage...so as ur buying your new STi or just browsing, you can watch the mechanics strip the rally and recce cars...with parts lying around all over the place it really creates a great atmosphere.

we're talking about [email protected] here right? I plan on visiting there on my next trip back home... Is there not a normal Subaru showroom on the docklands ground? i thought there was, just a seperate STi showroom & service area etc...

eatV8, yes we are talking about [email protected], melbourne. there is a subaru showroom, however it is seperate to the STi showroom...so there are different staff, different manager, different servicing areas/technicians etc...so you can safely say the subaru and STi showrooms are quite seperate...unlike the usual set up where the best you will have is a seperate room for an M3 or the like...quite a unique experience, oh and you must try the coffee shop while you're there!

Black on gold, and out tha' dealer this beast roared!!!

well they are still new to the WRX/STi scene...WRXs have been in AUS since 1994...and we were the only country (i believe) to get a special batch of 400 version 5 and 6 (respectively) STis. REXES are BIG is australia, especially in melbourne. have a look at the wrx club of victoria

sweet...i thought so! 280 at the wheels is massive what were you using??? theres a car called xite which made approximately 270-280 at the wheels (MY03 rex) and kept breaking driveshafts...also 11.9 is a little 'slow' for that power. the gtech rex ran 11.4 with 240 at the wheels with STi ratios. please tell me more about your my99.

yes 11.9 is a little slow but i trapped at 122mph so it had mid-low 11's in it. i had trouble getting off the line i had a decent size sterio in the trunk plus i was running on heavy 18" wheels with 235's... the turbo was a custom creation made by my cousin using various turbo parts including the stock IHI VF 22... oh also it was a hot 32°c day at willowbank when i made the pass...

She's stock at the moment, but I plan on the lowered STi springs and some defi gauges. Like you, I'm concerned with the warranty...
