so, all you fellas with the 06, under the front license plate area, in there there is a large strip of black plastic, that i accidently got wax on when I was detailing the car, anyone have any ideas for getting it off safely??

soft tooth brush, clay bar, microfiber cloth, sponge, etc.

.....Or, go find some dish washing liquid, wash the car twice with it, the degreaser in the dish washing liquids takes the wax off of cars.....

Ya, but it's highly not recommanded to wash cars with dish soap.

If the area where the wax is present is small, try wax cleaner first.

dish washing soap thats a degreaser works, you could try clay bar also.

Lol, yeah, because it takes the wax off. ;)

I wash my car with dish soap when I'm going to clay bar, polish, and re-wax.

...and hurts the clear. FYI if you are claying/polishing there is no need to use dish soap:)

hey dark, what do you use to clean your engine bay,


would i be ok hosing the engine bay down?

Cover anything electrical, then use a small stream of water and wash it something like simple green, wipe off then dress with dressing of your choice.

How does it hurt the clear coat?

The less old wax on the car, the easier the job.
