*HELP*Flashing check engine light 13 subaru sti

So I was letting my buddy test drive my car yesterday. After making a U-turn he got on it pretty hard from a roll, going through to 3rd or 4th gear. He noticed the check engine light came on, the car didn't feel any different. The TC, cruise and the SI lights were on and flashing, and didn't clear on their own. removed the neg. battery terminal and the lights cleared and have not returned. Ironically enough just had the oil changed right before that. He didn't abuse her any more than I have in the 3 months I've had her, she has about 8500 miles on her. Anyone else experience this?

May be it over boosted and went into limp mode. Since you already reset the ECU, there is no way of knowing what the code was. Next time make sure to get the code read using AP or at any auto store like Advance Auto or Auto zone before resetting the ECU.
will do thanks! Would that be the case even if I shut the car off and tried to reset it?
yeah sounds like over boost. mine did the same thing. takes a while for the codes to go away on their own i think mine took around 8 hours. just be careful, my turbo went because of this
Did you feel the car buck violently once when he was flooring it
Not at all, the car pulled like normal. Is this something I should be worried about?

If the car pulled like normal even with the CEL, then its not overboost. You should always get the code before you reset it so that you know what exactly happened. Nothing to worry as of now I think.
