Hi all,

I am sorry its been so long....finally got a digital camera and took some pics last night of my JDM spec STi-7. Promised these pics over 6 weeks ago....sorry took so long. I need to email them to someone to post or I need info on how to do it as I don't have a web address to post them.

Please advise.

Cheers,
Ray

PS: The pics are not the best as taken at night, not used to camera and car dirty :) But I will post more as I figure this pic posting out :)

Hi Guys, thx for looking at my car :)

Alfredo is correct, 4 pot front, 2 pot back, the shift light is also where he described it (white dot rpm guage). I took pic with car on and door open, the three red lights are: parking brake, seatbelt and door open light.

Stability bar is standard....the car is 100% stock as it came from Japan, I have not moded anything yet......but.......there is a full turbo back exhuast on its way from ScoobySport UK as we speak as well as a boost guage....when I put that on the car will be fully decatted (there is no cat on the uppipe so I am not changing it at this time as it also can lead to boost spiking issues). I have to also change the restrictor size from around a .75mm to a 1.25mm to keep the car from boost spiking when I put on the fully decatted exhuast......should be good for another 15 - 30 bhp and 10- 20 ft. lbs. of torque.....this should get me up from the standard 276 bhp close to the magic 300 mark :) the main reason I am doing it is to help with the turbo lag, the car should spool up much quicker (hopefully closer to 3000 rpms) and be generally more driveable at lower rpms.....we shall see :)

Cya,
Ray

PS: Theft is a problem....and I hope my car stays safe.... :)

Yes my car is 100% as is direct from Japan, not one mod done yet :)

No standard boost gauge....I thought it was strange as well....but even if the US gets a boost gauge chances are it will be the normal factory boost gauges that are just estimated boost levels based on engine rpms etc (like the old eclipse GST boost gauges) you gonna have to get an aftermarket imho...

The gas was an issue....... before I got the car I did LOTS of research....I can get 93 octane gas here which is approx 98 RON.....I also add super 104 + octane booster with every fill up which adds aprrox 1 RON, so my car is running on approx. 99 RON right now, only 1 RON shy of the 100 RON in Japan. According to research anything 97 RON or above will be ok....the computer in the new STi-7's will adjust timing etc (which will bring the bhp down) to eliminate any knock that may be cuased from poor fuel etc)......I am also looking into getting some of the "NF" octane booster that they ue in the UK and Europe....NF + 98 RON gas will give me about 100 - 102 RON so hopefully I can sort that out :)

Hopefully more pics to come soon !! :)

Yea I was worried about that as well; however, there are thousands of people that are using and have used boosters every fill up since they bought there cars over in Europe and the UK (some for 50,000 - 100,000 miles on their cars)......only time will tell but history shows all is ok with the JDM cars running boosters on every fill up....

Thanks,
Ray
