Hi Guys,
Was getting my Forester serviced at the dealer yesterday and low & behold they had a silver Sti in the showroom.
They wouldn't let me take her for a spin but it was nice to check out out in the flesh.
Very tidy unit indeed. Nicely built.
Now all i gotta do is wait till December. Unlike the majority of you guys i'm restricted by my own financial situation and not just waiting for Subaru to release it.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience.

Just purchased a black 2002 STI with the prodrive rear spoiler. Take delivery next Friday. Interesting to note that only one of the dealers that I visited last week would let me test drive the vehicle...I guess the others didn't need the business !!!

Did you get your spoiler from the dealer also?
If so how much did they charge and was it painted & fitted for you?

Enquired about the "Prodrive Kit" and it's availability through the dealer and was told that they have heard about it and it's not available... ??? I'm ringing Subaru Australia today to find out. The rear spoiler was sourced from "Moorooka Special Vehicles in QLD". I can forward contact details to you via Email if you need them. It is exactly the same as the prodrive spoiler from Subaru, it's fully adjustable and replaces the standard spoiler. It was painted and fitted as part of the sale. :smile:

Yeah that'd be great! I'd be looking at doing the same to mine in December (hopefully earlier). Did you buy it from Westpoint at Moorooka? That's where i bought my Forester from and probably will get my Sti there also.
Sounds like your in Brisbane also, would love to catch up to check out a black one in the flesh.

Hi, Westpoint at Moorooka were quite helpful, but didn't have any in stock, they had just sold there last one. Was told that the next one they were getting was black, then went to Westpoint at Indooroopilly and was told that I wasn't able to drive the STI even though it was sitting there doing nothing Westpoint owns both companies and more as protest I walked out went to Highway Subaru at Springwood, drove the car and bought it. Highway are the largest subaru dealer by volume in QLD and have sold quite a few STI's so far, they have two left at the dealer, both silver, 1 with 3000 kms the other 0 kms and on the showroom floor. Quite helpful, ie located the spoiler in Brisbane for me rather than my getting it from Sydney and very good value on the trade in.
