Car: 2008 GRB STi
Wheel: Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27
Tire: TOYO R888 265/35/18
Coils: Tein MonoFlex

Ok this is my Problem, I got the Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27 to run with 265/35/18 R888 Toyo tires to use them for the track. I knew they were going to be wide, but not that wide when I got them on the car. So I would like to get some specs on fender roll and camber for this set up I have. It looks like the rear is were Im having most of the problem. I don't know if I have to pull fender on the rear or just roll them.

The set up is for the track so I will be using my 18 BBS daily.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

Way too little offset. You could make it work with a lot of fender modification. You'd probably also need some rear camber bushings, but I don't think they can pull in the top all that much (0.5* or so).

Probably easier to get rims with the right offset.

Yeah I haven't heard of anyone running +27 in the back... I went with +40 all the way around.

LOL cmon man these are the questions you ask before you buy the damn wheels and mount them.

roll and pull all four corners. that poke is going to rip your tires open.

camber to absolute minimum of -3.5 in the rear.

and raise the car up temporarily since you dont know what youre doing

Well I got my stock BBS and the reason I got the wheels like this is because I have seen a lot of people run +27. Because they dont have to use the spacer for the front.

I will do my Fender pull, roll and camber to see what happens.

Luis3rd on here has the same wheels, just a different color. He has rolled fenders, not sure if all 4 corners though, and decent camber. Maybe check out his journal. You can definitely make +27 work.

Yeah I have seen his car and he is the reason I got my wheels like this (+27). I have seen it in many GRB's the only question is if they would work for aggressive driving. Thanks Bro

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

I would say wrong offset - why are you stuck on +27 rather than +40? If it's for the track, the width is more important than the offet, yah? Or am I missing something? I've got 18x9.5 on my car with +44 offset, and the fit is just right. Why force the offset other than you don't want the hassle/lost money on another set of wheels?

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

Ok so here are my 2 options for fixing this problem.

1- Get 2 sets of +40 for the rear and leave the +27 up front
2- Get control arms for camber, roll & pull my fenders.

Will it just be fine if I keep my +27 up front? I know I will not be able to rotate my wheels, but other then that would I have problems at the track with +27 front and +40 rear?

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

i've got the same wheels but i planned on camber all around even though they're on 245s. i'm surprised you weren't prepared for that but looking at my test fit pictures it seems my slight pull from rolling with a mallet just about clears the 245. but i haven't set the car on the ground yet:

i could've sworn fitment was more hopeless but i guess i didn't give it the benefit of the doubt, this should give you an idea what kind of room a pull opens up to you.

e/ you do not need control arms, rear camber bushings will give you more than enough to fit this setup. no excuse to run a different wheel/offset in the rear, my idea behind +27 is to avoid mixing offsets, and it will fit fine when you need it to.

Thanks Bro, I will be getting some rear camber bushings and get the roll, pull done and see what happens. Do you have more picture of your wheels on the car?

I've just never heard of anyone doing +27 in the back. Most people do +27 in the front to clear the calipers, and do +40 in the back so they don't have to do much work. I went with +40 all around but I still need tires, extended studs, open ended lugs, and 8mm spacers up front. I did this so I could properly rotate my tires though... Im going with 265/35/18 and I know I'll have to roll and pull the fenders and do some negative camber. That's a lot of work just for +40 my guess is you'll have to do too much and it will affect handling man...

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

I'm surprised you can even turn well with that setup. My 18x9.5 et32 Prodrives with 265s came in major contact with the fender well plastics when the car was barely lowered up front.

You're going probably want to get adjustable lateral links in the rear, but in all honestly, I'd ditch the wheels and get something that fits right. I run my Prodrives on the street with 255s now and got a set of PF01s in +45 offset and run 275s with no issue at all.

Well the more and more I think about this I think I might do all the fender and camber adjustments and use the NT03 with my stock 245 for the street and use my 18 BBS with the 265 R888 for the track.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

That's definitely a best hassle-free solution down the road. Not to mention you can then run the camber settings you WANT, not whatever you need just to make the wheels fit right, which may or may not be beneficial to handling.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

I am going to be lowering my car on Epics in the near future and plan on getting eibach springs. If I want to get NT03+m's should I go +40 all the way around with spacers OR +40 with +27 up front. I really am trying to stay as far from fender mods as I can but I am reasonable and realize I may have to make some adjustments. I will be running 245/40/18 and may go wider down the road.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

Then don't bother with the NT03s plain and simple because you're at minimum going to be rolling fenders and you're still going to be stuck running stretched tires. I was planning on getting the same wheels, but since they don't clear the Brembos in a good fitting offset, it makes them very unappealing if you want them for anything other than looks.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

This what +27 looks like at the moment w/ 255 hope this helps.......th1rd3y3 is right the 888 do run more square then other tires.....ive used the stock 245 tires for 2 year and they were fine, ive tracked and drag with them without a problem......all really depends on what you want out of them.....

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

Let me try to clarify this thread a little.

IF the OP was to have +27 up front, +40 in the rear and a mild rear fender roll, he would be cool. (my plans... )

Is this correct????

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

To make things clear, what exactly needs to be done to the fenders/camber/bushes, etc.. if I install 18x9.5 +40 on an '08 STI ?
What tyres would I have to use if I remain on stock suspension ?

I'm asking 'cause I'm interested in the NT03's aswell and the thread wasn't clear on +40.

Thanks.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

And you're not rubbing on the front fender plastics? I'd be very curious to see your specs since no amount of fender rolling would fix the issues I had when just running 265s.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

Finally got my fenders rolled and some pull. So know Im running my Enkies NTO3 18x9.5 +27 with Nitto NT05 245/48/18. So I have no rubbing at all and Im lowered with my Tein coils.

Re: PLEASE NEED HELP!!! Got my Enkei NT03 18x9.5 +27

So, in other words, you set out to have a "track setup" with some proper track tires (R888 in 265) and ended up tugging on the body and doing crazy camber (likely more than double anything that anyone who knew how to drive would ever put on a car) just to make wheels that don't fit fit, all with non-track oriented, skinny tires... just to show that you can make a wheel fit, as long as you have no other objective with your car. Is this a correct statement?

Sorry man you are all wrong!!! First of all I don't have any camber done yet. I still run my r888 with this set up on the track. The only reason I did some pull was to be able to run my R888. For my 245 I only needed to roll my fenders just a bit. So I did this because this offset looks the best for a dally car and track car and you don't need to use the 10mm spacer like the 40 offset. Hope this anweres your question.
