There are two unclaimed at Grayson Subaru in Knoxville TN. I dropped out and so did another because they ticked us off. There not tring to scew us or anything just ignorance. And forgot to tell us of the port options so that they get the dealer charge. (sure they forgot) Anyway there is a blue//silver and a silver//silver. Call them If you want them

Do you know anyone in your area that had theirs shipped to Kelly Subaru in Chattanooga, TN? There is a black//silver STI in the showroon. Word of mouth is that someone in Knoxville didn't have a good experience with their dealer and is coming down here Friday to pick it up.

I pre-ordered a Black/silver at Grayson, and they are truly idiots. They told me that they would call the minute that they were told what the MSRP was, and when they would get them. Not only did they not call me when they got the prices, they didn't call when the first one came in! I assume it was your blue/silver car. I just happened to call the day it came and when I asked why they didn't call they said they forgot! This pissed me off, so I asked for my deposit back and they said that I will have to find a buyer for it to get it back. Assholes.....

They sold the blue/silver I think. Did you get your deposit back ingraham? Let me know if you did so I can raise hell.

MichealH I had the Silver//Silver same problem. A friend of mine had the Blue Silver but they pissed him off after the test drive so he told them to keep there car. I'm in the same boat with the deposit. I called Subaru of america 1-800-Subaru3 they said they would take care of it. Got a call the other day from Graysons and they said when they sold it they would give me my money back. I bought mine at Earl Duffs Great guys and on the ball

Okay, question. You work at a dealer, tell me if this sounds right. Grayson told me that they don't want to give my deposit back because they are not allowed to have the car on the lot for more than 10 days. If they can't sell it in 10 days they have to BUY it from Subaru and then sell it as a USED car. What do you think about that? Is that correct?

That is the BIGGEST crock of crap I have ever heard! At least the other weasels lie and tell you it's 30days..., heres the scoop. All mfgr's have built into any car an amount of money that comes right out of the dealers profit that pays the "rent" for having the car on the lot. It's called "hold back". Every car dealer out there couldn't afford to have 10 Million in inventory on their lots, just too much money. So, the mfgr's "lease" them to us until we sell them. The hold back on cars is the amount it costs the dealer to have the car on the lot for 30 days. Once the 30 days is gone, they actually start loosing the actual profit between invoice and MSRP.

As for what happens after so many days..., nothing. The dealer just sits on the car until they can sell it and the longer it sits, the less they make. That's how it works. No having to sell it as a used car. That's crap.

These are the same guys I talked to you earlier about Murley. They are full of [email protected]$. They called the other day and asked if I wanted the Silver//Silver car I ordered. I told them I already had bought a car. They said they would give my money back, but I havent heard from them yet. Sounds like three people have backed out on them for being such jerks. I bet that throws up a red flag at Subaru

i live in chattanooga and went to kelly to see the Sti its great. Im thinking of ordering an Sti on the 30th, if its still there ill take some pictures. Does anyone know of any Sti's already on the lot and for sale? i called the Dealer in Knoxville and they said they didnt have any. Kelly will sell at MSRP but i have the 2 month wait for the order, but im not patient i want it now. So one for sale on a lot would be great.

If your willing to wait and buy at Kelly Subaru, ask for David Booth. I've purchased 3 subaru's through him so far and have had nothing but excellent service. The experience of buying through Kelly is worth the wait.

Greysons told me they had two a blue/silver and a silver/silver. Ask for Bob. I dont think they sold them yet, but they may have.

ingraham, ingraham, I have a Silver/silver on order @ Grayson but am now really concerned. What are the port installed options? I don't want to get screwed by these guys.

Jwinsaver, I havent talked to them in a while but they told me they had a silver//silver and they couldn't get hold of the guy that ordered it. They didn't ask anyone about port options as they are jerks. I would give them a call pronto. Port options are security system, autodimming mirror, turbo boost gauge, there is one more but I cant think of it, all of these can be added at the dealer, but you have to pay dealer install charge.

Anyone know of a local WRX club in Nashville? Maybe some track days could be arranged with the Speedway or the new Barber Motorsports park near B-ham.

sounds like this Greyson dealer should go under some private investiations...in cerritos, ca a toyota dealer was closed for false advertisment...closed for 3 days that is...i know the GM there ahahah keep it on the d-low

The only decent Subie dealer I've found in TN is Kelly Subaru in Chattanooga, but they have slim allotments so far. Jim Reed is terrible in Nashville, and sounded like they were going to add a markup (though they wouldn't come out and say it). Grayson was a pain on the phone. Kelly was was very helpful & selling at MSRP, but I'm still getting mine from Van Bortel to save $2500. I would love to get mine to the Barber MS park-saw the rolex series race there & it's an incredible track.
