This post has been updated...

For those of you who had read this original post that was put up several weeks ago asking for input on which turbo kit to go with, the decision has been made. The opening page has been updated to reflect those changes. Those of you who rendered an opinion, I thank you. I was out to PDXTuning on Saturday talking with Tim about the project and showing off the custom stereo install. Tim will contact DPR Racing regarding the headwork part of this project to see what Dan comes up with to support this massive power change. I'm still waiting on several parts to arrive before the car goes into PDX for the work. Stay tuned...

Updated main page.

Take alook at the opening post on this thread. I added 8 more pics of the custom trunk/nitrous/stereo install. Many thanks to Jason for laboring on this project for three solid months.

Jason recommended both of the Optimas. Even at that, I'm going to have to get the alternator rewound as it's just not able to keep up anymore with the higher volumes, even with the Lanzar cap. Check out all of the plumbing.

Between the 9000rpm rev limit built block, the DPR headwork with upgraded cams and valvetrain, direct port nitrous to boost the first gear response, and a good Hydra tune, I stand as good as chance as anybody to give this car the chance to be that monster. Besides, can you imagine what it's going to feel like when the boost does kick in?

You're definitely going to mangle the 6 speed...I would seriously consider a ppg gearset. Good luck on trying to finish by the end of march...personally I think you might be done by mid-may if all goes smoothly. The car is definitely a one-off!

You are correct in your timeline as the short or long block and headwork is what will hang me up. Gruppe-S is still 6-8 weeks away from selling their first Stage Three long block and right now, that is the direction I'm leaning.

Everything else is either in my possesion, on order or readily available locally through PDXTuning.

Keep in mind though that I look for work to commence in late March, not end there.

I'll check into that gearset. I may not need it though as my main goal is to have an all around balanced show car, not necessarily a constant racer.

Update As Of 3/23/2006

I have an update for my journal for those of you who have subscribed to this thread. Things are beginning to happen. The only major hangup right now is the wait on who is going to perform the long block upgrade. I'm waiting to see the test results on the Gruppe-S race engine, Stage Three before I decide. They are perhaps still a month out on reporting in. The UR GT40R turbo package arrives tomorrow. Most of the INGS+1 body kit arrived today. All of my updates are posted in the revised first post. Oh, I almost forgot. I had to change the title of my post from going for 600+ whp to going for 700+ whp for obvious reasons. I may not get there but I have a sneaky feeling I will.
