The story came out 1/13, but discusses stats on UK and Japan-spec STi, so take this with a grain of salt. Starting at $35K would be hard to justify to the Mrs...

That's old and incorrect info. Look at the specs, they state 261 BHP. We know that's not it. They don't even mention the eginie size (which you think would be a big deal).

No worries, this article is horrible.

Check this phrase: "and the dual Suretrac limited-slip differentials are pulling all four wheels as hard as they can" (Autoweek). Dual on the N. American? Nope. Their power is down too. Like you said, its based on Euro/JDM..so no worries.

The STi is $35K Euro here in Germany, but you have to remember that that includes the 16% VAT (Value Added Tax) on it. Take off 16% and now you're back down to around $30K.
