Hope everyone had a good holiday and new years. After Christmas I flew out to Berlin to visit my mother for the new years. All I can say is that Berlin is CRAZY on new years. We started partying at the Brandenburg Gate but that became way to busy (reports of 1 million+ people), we headed to my mothers work (Canadian Embassy) and we were able to get to the top floor of the building which had an amazing view over Berlin. Once midnight hit the whole city was firing fireworks it was insane!

While I was here I was able to get some safety gear I needed to be able to race next season with CSCS, for good reasons they are forcing race suits and safety gear for all those who are racing with cages or in the unlimited classes. I went with the Adidas stuff as that is what I use while I play soccer and really like their products as they last and fit very well. My mother was nice enough to purchase a set of ADISTAR gloves for a Christmas present and I ordered a set of Daytona shoes. Next I will need to buy a suit which is a bit expensive but as long as I don't get too fat I shouldn't need to replace it for a long time LOL.

Those look familiar! They're great shoes, very comfortable.
Thank! I really like how they feel and fit. Can't wait to put them to real use.

Finally home again, right after my trip to Germany I had to go on a career course in NB. Was down there for the last 2 months enjoying the crappy NB winter, within 96hrs we had 1m of snow HAHA. That did not make for an effective training environment nor did the very low temps they had this year, good thing the army issues out a lot of good winter kit.

Before I went on vacation I ordered some Gunery strips to move the air over the tires and help pull the air out of the wheel-wells

Drove down to Touge on Friday and pulled the car out of storage to do some more testing at Touge to ensure my tests were correct and also did a EGBP test along with some pulls to get some logs. Lets just say doing pulls on a car with shot tires and sub zero temps were interesting OH and I also reminded myself I dont have ABS at the moment.... Lots of smoke and the smell of burnt rubber HAHA FML.
Did another Compression test and all the numbers were very close to what I had done last time, plugs defiantly needed changing. Again this was done on a very cold motor so numbers are slightly low but nothing to be concerned about since they are all very close to each other.

With my "busy" life it is getting harder and harder to spend time on the car, but this weekend I was able to log in a few hours and get somethings changed up.

So to combat the possible header issues I swapped everything out for a ETS kit as this area is really the only what if area left since all the testing indicates that the motor is healthy.

And because why not, I swapped from my Tarmac 2's to the Tarmac 3's along with the 5x114 knuckles. Big thanks to Idin for these sexy bits.

Well things are starting to look up. Car was brought back down to Touge Tuning so Sasha from On-point Dyno could have another crack at it. things started off rocky but he was able to conduct test after test to get to the source of the issues to include my forgetting to screw in a ground for the MapDccd. Final numbers are 405whp and 386wtq @22 psi. He asked if I wanted to go higher and I decided not to, I met my 400whp goal. I think this is more than enough to dial the car in and be somewhat competitive. Once things are sorted out and my bank account talks to me I will swap out headers for some Killerb bits and who knows, Cobb did just release the flex fuel kit for GD's.

Current seen issue, there seems to be a drag on the drive-line going from 4th to 5th I am losing 45whp. SO time to look into that, will this prevent me from RD1 not sure.

for some reason I cant make youtube videos work here LOL

well no real update on the car since I have been in Czech Republic and Chris has been on Vacation until Friday. So this weekend was the CSCS round 1 event and my car wasn't ready to run unfortunately. BUT a fellow Touge Tuning Customer and good friend lent me his car to conduct a shake down for him and allow me to gain seat time. The car literally came off the dyno last week after having a IAG block and DOM 2.5 installed. For someone to trust you to take their car on the track in a competitive environment speaks to how awesome he is and was just amazing. Shan works the CSCS show and Shine event so wouldn't have been able to track the car. Over all I had a great time hanging out with the Touge Team and getting in some good fun seat time, defiantly off pace but that will come with time.

I was also able to throw on all the safety gear I have acquired over the last 6 months minus the HANS device since there was no cage. Everything felt great and it didn't even feel like I had a helmet on all day.
