what were you driving before. seems to pull plenty nice to me given i'm coming from 140hp 12year-old machine.

i would have never thought i would have liked the look of silver/silver until i saw that picture of one next to the barn in pennsylvania. that thing is simply glamorous.

yeah, i like the boot, but nob is ugly; small with a rubber-like cap. i want black anodized alumnium with an engraved shift pattern. whatever i get to replace it has to have the shift pattern on it.

I got mine from the dealer, installed it myself... only 4 screws. My brother bought one off of ebay, but in the end only ended up saving $20... except mine is covered by subaru for 5 Years. :)

Mine flash, when it is not in valet mode. I have the standard subaru security system upgrade. The flyer I got with it says that they will not flash with aftermarket alarms... So I don't know if it is possible.

This is from the workshop manual -

6. ANSWER BACK (BUZZER SIGNALING) ON/OFF SELECTION
1) Push the transmitter’s UNLOCK button.
2) Push the transmitter’s LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds to
activate the answer back function and push them again to deactivate it.
3) When the answer back function is activated, the buzzer will sound once and the hazard warning
lights flash once. When it is deactivated, the buzzer will sound twice and the hazard warning lights
flash twice.

Hope it helps.
