silly question, but just wanted to be sure: the cap will fit over the sti cap without modification of either cap?

You must use a GC8 fuel plastic cap to put this STI piece over or trim the STi cap.........

I decided not to use for the fact that the cap is dangling, and id rather have the plastic cap hit my paint then the metal.
