So I have a 2013 sti and I installed all new brake pads and rear brake rotors. Only when I’m pressing on the brake at lower speeds not full pressure to the brake pedal is when I get a super loud squeak. I installed it great. I greased the hell out of the shim side. The pins and pretty much any metal to metal contact. Why is it still so loud?!

What brand pads? What brand rotors? What grease did you use?

Did you lube up the sides of the pads where they sit in the calipers? I would pull them out and do that and also lube up inside of the calipers where the pads sits.

you may just have a bad that makes more noise until the brakes are warmer if you went with a higher performance one.

I cheaper out on them until I got a new wheel setup and got car quest ceramic pads. I just pulled them out and put crc brake grease on the shim. It’s a built in shim and it still squeaks a little.
