I wouldn't spend $230 on that gauge. Bad placement....wires hanging over the steering column.

Do something like this.....and support a fellow wrxsti.com member. You can get a nice look gauge pod with 3 gauges for just a little more than that one tacky gauge from Subaru.

just to toss out two cents, Subaru sells a similar looking housing for 70 bucks

Yes, they do. But you'll never get a gauge to fit it unless you go with tiny gauges like the factory setup. And the entire setup from Subaru is about $650.
