I picked up my silver over gold STi this past Saturday. I've been driving it moderately staying within the break in guidelines. I put 168.7 miles on it and decided to fill up the tank. It took 7.333 gallons of Amoco Ultimate. This works out to be 23.0 miles/gallon. Quite a pleasant surprise!
I thought I'd pass this on as someone asked about mileage. In my wife's WRX sport wagon with auto, we achieved 30 mpg on a break in trip. I was concerned that the STi would not do as well. We intend to take a break in trip this weekend. I'll report my mileage if folks are interested.
