Unless you are planning on registering your car in PA instead of NY, you will have to pay NY sales tax. Sales tax on cars are assessed where you register your car, not where you buy it.
I am planning on regestering it in PA. I have a summer house up there i will be using in the paper work but i will be driving it in NY

Can anyone explain exactly what Tire tax acualy is? i just think its retarded but maybe it has a good meaning. thx

Pa tire tax is a rip off is what it is!I moved to Ct from Pa two years ago after being born and raised in Pa,tire tax started there about 5 years ago if I remeber right. They charge $1 per new tire sold in the state of Pa.and since they deem tires on a new car as being new, there you go!they say they use the money as a disposal fee for old tires if you can believe that!

What a joke!

The doc fee is set up by each dealer, not the state. Ours here is $72.50. I wouldn't pay any more than $100.
