brakes and tires

And likewise, wouldn't this forum be "STI RULZ ALL YO!"?
i strongly disagree. i've been here for a while and *in my recollection*, the childish "sti rulez all", "sti kills evo", "evo sux" threads have always been interrupted by at least one voice of reason and rationality. it is my observation that the moderators here have little tolerance for that kind of silliness.

I just checked out evolutionm.net, and while there is a lot of useful information, the forum is really full of "EVO kills STi because we say so." I'm happy that there's a lot less of that kind of crap here and that people seem to be more open minded!

WTB: STi wheels with or without tires (Gold or Silver)

  Yeah, man, that's because the Evo SUX!!!

Just kidding. We're lucky to be able to choose such killer performance cars for so cheap. Another resource you might want to check out is Scoobynet. It's a UK board that's had STi's a lot longer than we've had 'em. Too bad they only have the 2.0l version.

Undecided...

Frankly, all message boards have some of each of those traits :)

I am actually a 330Ci owner, but I am looking in to doing some suspension work for the 350Z, STi, and the Evo. I am just looking for information regarding what the owner's feel about what their cars may be lacking in terms of handling, and determine if there are solutions with common parts that can improve the situation without $$$$, but $$ :D

I actually have seen some of the most neutral messages on this board. BMW boards are quite competitive as well, may be with the exception of bimmerfest.com.

Any how, thank you all for your inputs.

I stand firmly behind what I stated. While I am an STi owner and fanatic, I enjoy the competition and I feel the EVO is an amazing car as well.

However, I cannot STAND to try and read through any kind of thread where "STi" and "EVO" are in the same thread on that forum. And the moderators......naw, I don't see them doing a thing to stop it. They might say "now guys...hehe....be nice", but I sure haven't seen the absolutely blind Subaru bashing disappear.

And anyone who claims this forum is to that point....well, you don't know this forum very well. I know I started a thread that was a very mild mannered comparo thread that examined the pros and cons of both. From my recollection, it was an informative thread without any kind of "STi blows chunks......EVO RULZ".

Evolutionm.net is a excellent site for EVO information. If you ask a question, you'll always get an answer. There are more kids that jump in that forum (F&F groupies) and the younger DSM crowd. However, just skip some of their dumb comments. Plus that forum has a very large member base and the larger the community, the larger the idiot ratio. :)

I have an EVO and would be happy to field any questions I feel qualified to answer concerning my car. I firmly believe that the owner's of EVO's and STI's have the greatest respect for the cars; it is the younger EVO ownz the STI and visa versa crowd that makes all the noise. I would pay money to join a forum that catered to STI's and EVO's only.

Speedlimit... :)

Thank you. I certainly will have questions. I have been a strictly RWD-car person and I need to understand the 4WDs better to be able to tune their suspensions for auto-x and track. Just starting, long way to go. :)
