I'm pretty much a noob so bear with me...

I had my whiteline 22mm fixed front sway mars installed on my 05 wrx sti and I've been hearing rubbing ever since. Recently I put the car on the lift checking for bad cv joints an other mishaps and then found the evidence of some grinding. I turned the wheels and come to find out the end of the sway bars right at the corner where the bars meet the links it connects with the toe adjustment rod (not sure if that's it's real name) and grinds across as the steering continues until it locks. It does this on both side. Again I'm pretty new to this and I'm not entirely sure what would be a good way to fix this issue. Grind Dow the bars corners a couple mms to help it clear? Maybe my bar is installed wrong? Maybe I need different length links? Someone help:) its been going on for a couple months and it definitely shows on the hardware. Btw I believe the links are still the stock links. I'll upload pictures when I can. I'm starting this thread on my iPhone and please don't bash me if this thread is already up or I'm in the wrong place for this. It's my very first post.

your car is probably too low. I had the same issue and im running apexi's too.

a good starting point is 14" in the front and 13.75" in the rear (measured from the fender the wheel hub) stock endlinks are short to begin with so i dont think that would be an issue.

the turning popping noise is probably coil bind. Did you grease your coils before installing them?

I'll get a pic up soon (I'm on CQ right now. The military world knows what that is) but I can tell you they are the whiteline 22mm fixed front swaybars fitted for the 04-07 wrx sti I'm gonna get it back on the lift and see if I can losen it up just a little and try and rotate the bar away a little and retorque it. If I can get it to move a quarter inch I'm good. Plus I'm going to spray something up into the springs to lube them up. Any suggestions? Wd40 for example

The shop on post is a DItY shop with multiple lifts. Your standard life and the type u drive the car on. Anyone have some tips to help get the wheel assembly lifted back in place when your reinstalling the coilover mounting bolts? I remember when I was helping my mechanic it was a sever pain in the ass when it came to getting it held up in place to get the bolts back in. I'll post up pics of how the car sits an the pictures I got from the bars in the next box.

I had the same problem as you with my whitleine 24mm front sway bar with their adjustable endlinks. I've tried all types of combinations to gain clearance, shortened the endlinks, changed mounting holes, etc. I ended up just grinding down the side of the sway bar where it is rubbing the tie rods and just used the other mounting hole. I have plenty of clearance now and now rubbing issues.

Ya I was thinking of just grinding mine down a mm or two as well but there are a good amount of speed bumps in the shopping centers and I've already made contact a couple times from going slightly too fast. Not to mention my driveway is steep and I have to come in at an awkward angle to keep the front bumper from scaring the pavement. Already have to repair the bottom of it from it getting a little smashed up. FML

Ok ya mine don't rub against the wheel. The links point up towards the wheel well. Today when driving it I didn't hear anything except a subtle pop from what sounded like a spring "breaking loose" from what was mentioned before with the lack of lube at the top hat plate. Once I find the man power to help with the coil over adjustment I think all will be good. I'll keep everyone posted because I've been reading a lot of similar posts about this issue but it's often diagnosed wrong. They have all mentioned some sort of lowered suspension and aftermarket springs or coilovers. So I'm assuming the issue they are having is the same as mine just didn't find what I found.
