I have a problem... My speakers tend to rattle from rubbing up against the gril inside the door panels.
I was wondering if anyone had instructions on how to access the speakers in the doors by taking the door paneling off. So I can make more room for the stock speakers to boom.

Remove the little triangle by the top/front part of the door on the inside of where the side mirrors are (it just pulls out). Then, flip up the cover inside the pull handle, and unscrew the screw inside of it. Pop out the window/lock control unit and the pull handle by pulling up. Disconnect the harness that's underneath. Unscrew another screw that's underneath where the controls were. Begin by pulling at the lower door panel (direction to pull is away from the door), and it should start popping out. Watch out for the trim around the door handle as it will fly at your face (you can alternately pry this off with a screwdriver, using a cloth so it doesn't scratch the surface). As soon as all of the clips are popped off of the lower portion of the door, lift the door panel up (towards the sky). Repeat with the other door(s).

If the dealer installed them, I would have them fix it. If anything breaks such as the tabs on the door or the window control trim, they will replace it for free. Thats odd the stock speakers hit the door trim by the way. I think I am going to go with the Kenwood dual mags because they are really shallow speakers.

I used the instructions above, again, this is from a member of this board (TRM).

There is one thing that will help you reduce your install time: don't try removing the door handle trim, it's just PITA.

When pulling the door panel, it will pop off by itself. I can take my door apart in like, 3 minutes or so.

The first time, it took me 15 minutes, fighting to pop off that door trim ...

Fronts aren't a problem using the IA spacers. The rears...different story. I ended up not liking the imaging of the speakers in the rear doors and they were a tight fit........so they are in the rear deck now. Much better for both reasons....fit and sound.
