i got the SF INTAKE at a steal so i made use with wat i got. but yea ur right the cold air intakes would tecniclly get better temps. and also some people fear hydrolock as well so the aem/perrins wearnt a option for them.

I also considered this but after some research my choices boiled down to the Cobb or the aem (the perrin is great but there was no Cobb ap map for it). The aem posed a few issues for me - namely the fact that it tends to rain quite a bit where I am at. Also, in the future, from my research anyway that you would have to change from the aem if you look to do most FMICs. Plus I prefer Cobb parts as they make quality products in my opinion - and they are a Texas based company :)

I’ve been trying to drop my temps too.
the Cobb box just gets way too hot.
Really wanted to go back to stock air box. Tuner said my intake mani temps were fine.
Some one should design a plate that blocks the engine temp. So under our Cobb cone filter there’s colder air.
I’ve only seen ok temps under boost. I can drop my temps from 135-145 to the 90’s.
I’ll ask my tuner if he knows any good tricks for cooling.
