STI's on Long Island

I was wondering if the times are the same as the EVO, handling is worse and braking is worse than the Evo... what if its just slightly faster.... etc.. is anyone else going to be dissapointed....what are you expecting? At $2000 more (give or take) for an STI over the EVO...

How do you know that handling and braking is worst? STI and the Evo should be very close, so close that I think the driver will make all the difference.

i'd take the style and rating on Subaru over the Evo since its THAT close. plus the interior is nicer

US version EVO does't have AYC & ACD same as Japanese version EVO.
but US STI has all options same as Japanese STI&Spec C.

Unless something has changed since last I heard, we are not getting a rear wiper like they get in Japan. Although I would really like the rear wiper, I still like the overall STi package better than the EVO.

The Spec C is a different beast though. I don't think we will see anything like that over here.

Well,US Sti has BS Potenza RE070&BBS Wheels as standard which I mean same as japanese Spec C.
Any way a rear wiper is not big deal for me because here is CA. :lol:

Yeah I noticed no rear wiper when I was in the car...sucks! You lose 2-3 hp without it...but then again it makes the car lighter :wink:

O.K. I can't remember the name of the japanese mag, but when i was at Mitsuwa(Japanese super store) two Sundays ago i spent about an hour in their book store reading a car mag with evo vs. sti on cover. They had a JDM sti and JDM evo 8 and they tested em and flogged em around a circuit. By the way the japanese car mags are soooooo much better than american car mags. They are bigger, way more in depth articles(if you can read em that is), bigger better pictures and they are more in tune to the car buff than the car buyer. Anyways the sti beat the evo in almost every category and in the one that matters the most....Lap Times! So considering that that was a less hp JDM sti and a more hp/ayc/acd evo you can only surmise that the USDM sti is gonna trounce the USDM Evo. We'll see though when our mags come out with the comparos of the 2 cars. Just thought i would let you guys in on that. I go on my regular trip to Mitsuwa this Sunday again. I will see if they still have the mag and if they do i'll get the name and issue vol #.
