Same with the blue car - My foglight covers, scoop, and wing are all lighter than the body. No big deal until you try to repaint something.

Many colors appear to be a different shade when seen from different angles. I know the silver on my Celica changes from a silver to almost a purple when viewed at extreme angles. The body lines don't help the illusion.

They don't use different painting facilities to paint different parts.

and, paint will always look slightly different from a metal part to a plastic part, or even a carbon fiber part.
