Re: liquid supercooling with nos

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I'm a looking to get the new STi but I have a few questions about getting one. I'm in a lease right now and it doesn't end until October, therefore, I don't want to be paying for two cars. If I put a deposit down now at a dealership and say I'm 7th or 8th in line when could I expect delivery of the car? I'm planning on buying the car in Columbus, Ohio at Hatfield.
Also, is it possible to put a deposit down and tell the dealer I don't want the car until a certain time and still be able to get the car at a later date?
Any comments or opinions appreciated.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken,

I am a dealer in the midwest. I suggest you talk to someone at your local dealership. The way things are going, most dealers are only getting the STi one at a time. They are starting in June. If your dealer is operating under the same restrictions we are (low allocations :( ) I would think you can place the order now and not have to worry about two payments. If anything, you may be without a car for a short while.

Yeah, but it looks like things might change possibly. I think that my rep is going to possibly fill quite a few orders here very soon! Not sure how many, but he called about an hour ago and wants details on a few more orders that we have on hand. Thats a GREAT thing!

It really is up to you. I'm not sure yet exactly what is going on with the filling of orders yet either. I'm thinknig that they are still gonna play onsies every month still but I'm checking... :)

drilled and slotted

I just finished talking with Kim at SOA in Itasca. Our area rep had asked us all to complete the desired options and colors on all of our ordered STi's. This got several people excited as they assumed it meant Subaru was speeding up the allocations and deliveries. Alas, it is not to be. If anything, it got a little worse because the second allocation will be smaller than the first. If you are down on the list where you have an order, it will take some time to get your car. I know this sucks. I am pretty sure the car is worth waiting for. You have waited this long........
