Hi, I am new to this forum. This morning when I was driving to work (in Rcohester, NY) I saw a blue wrx with a bigger wing than normal a few cars ahead of me. when i got closer to it, i noticed the gold rims and an sti badge on the rear. Could this be the real thing? i didn't think they were available in the US. What's wierder, is that when i was driving home from work, i passed it again!!! Could it have been the real deal?

most likely was the real deal. they are out and about now, they have to be tested on the streets to see if they behave. ive seen pics of the new 350Z (my next car, already on pre-order for sept) on the road in so cal w/ mich manufactures plates.

mmmmmm 350Z...... mmmmmmm 280 NA hp.....mmmmmm

I am from Michigan and sorta know alot about upcoming cars and how they test them in the street. It is very secret. I know the sti already exsists but they have no need to advertise it to the public. I've seen all kind of shrouding. When dodge was developing a quad cab I saw fake plastic covering the rear doors. From far away you wouldn't even know. It seems SOA would keep it on the DL if it was the actual model we were going to get. Anyway it doesn't seem too hard to get an sti batch of body stuff to pass it off. You can get wings, badges, and even the bigger scoop. But I've been wrong before.

I/C protector: make it for the STi

I doubt it was the real deal. When I was at the Rim of the World Rally, there were alot of "STi look alikes". You can order the bigger air-scoop, badges and other STi features online, esp on Ebay.

Anybody know where else I can find reverse indiglo gages like they have on the Jetta for the WRX besides on Ebay? I saw them there but I was wondering if some aftermarket shop sells them too...
