I called a local dealer (in San Diego) and they are selling the EVO VIII for $35K!!

Everyone seem to be saying that the STi will cost $8K more, so is this thing really gonna sell for $43K+ ???!?!?

I think the $8k more is based on the MSRP. A lot of the mitsu dealers have big markups on the EVO. Funny thing is, most of us on here have deals locked in at MSRP for the STi, so really the STi might be cheaper than the EVO for most people.

There is NO way the STi will cost $8k more than the Evo. Maybe you meant $8k more than the WRX? Even that seems a little high if you consider a $25k WRX.

Imagine Joe Public walking into the dealership and wondering how an extra 29 hp is worth 8 grand.
