Discussion Starter #1 (Edited)
Hey guys,

Trying to determine where exactly a coolant leak is coming from in my 2006 STI. Took a few shots of the waterpump and thermostat housing.

Just did the headgaskets 30k miles ago. Along with the timing belt. Waterpump was done about 50k miles ago. Thinking it may be coming from the hoses off to the right side but wanted to get a discussion going to see what you guys think.

Thanks!

Update. Looked from underneath and it appears to be coming from behind the water pump.

I was chasing down a coolant drip for the longest after installing a new thermostat and mishimoto radiator. I was getting a small leak down near the thermostat housing and I tried replacing the gasket twice , another thermostat , 3 separate hoses, coolant flush, double upped on hose clamps and still had a small leak, I was beside myself trying . I eventually installed a ARC rad I came up on and sure as shit the leak stopped. Not sure but my guess is the lower outlet on the rad wasn’t large enough for the hoses and wasn’t creating a good enough seal because the hose was pinching trying to seal on the undersized outlet. Only logical reason after all that. I guess I’m saying, if you try everything I mention and haven’t found the issue and you have a mishimoto radiator, throw it in the trash
