I grabbed Ziggyrama's stage 1 map AE5I910V
https://www.romraider.com/forum/view...hp?f=27&t=8190

& Transferred the changed tables to my ROM AE5L500V

Are there any of these tables i shouldn't be changing ? Or any concerns anyone sees?
I made a nice pdf the highlights the differences

Both roms are here for anyone interested

I agree, its pretty cool to see someone figuring this stuff out on their own. I'll admit, im a complete newb on the opensource stuff. Just viewing the romraider forum and seeing everything there really confuses me. Seems like you need to be a pro level IT guy to understand it lol.

Just wanna make the car go vroom vroom, not boom boom.

I'm a mechanical engineer and have a background in programing (not great at programing but have made little things before

I wanted to do the tuning stuff myself bc then the tune can always be improved (just constantly log lol)
It's definitely a benefit for helping to identify if there's anything bad that's happening with the car
&& I like knowing how things work

Thank you both for the kind words

The maker of the stage 1 map also commented on my RR post if anyone's interested. & talked about the differences

I started with Ziggyrama's ROM as an example as well :D
10 years and 2 rebuilds later I still can't stop messing with the tune o_O
Skimmed through your PDF and I like your comments. Documenting changes and reasoning is very helpful.
One thing I'll note is that it doesn't make sense to change MAP sensor limits unless you actually switch to a different sensor.
These are in place to detect sensor malfunction and are defined by the sensor manufacturer.
Overboosting is limited by the values in the Boost Limit (Fuel Cut) table and if exceeded will set a CEL.
Have fun, expect something to break and be very expensive:LOL:

At this point I have a fully built engine with barely any stock parts left, so my ROM won't be of much use to you.
I can dig into my old versions and find one with similar configuration as yours.
Full disclaimer: I'm not a tuner and it's more than likely that I am to blame for my engine breaking TWICE.
But I have learned quite a bit over the years, so I don't mind talking about my understanding of how things work.
There are actual tuners on this board, which are a much better resource than myself.

First time spun a rod bearing, this was likely due to not allowing my oil to warm up enough, so not necessarily tuning related.
Second time lifted one the heads, I had switched to E85 and was pushing it pretty hard.
I had a similar setup at the very beginning, so I'll try to find a corresponding ROM, but it'll likely be close to Ziggy's.
