Man,
Looking at pics drooling most days I have come to crossroads!

I love the blue, but the white and silver keep popping out at me..as does the dark blue/black,.

When the STi comes in what is everyone looking to buy and why?

Well, assuming these colors are available:

World Rally Blue
Platinum Silver Mettallic
Blue Ridge Pearl
Special Edition Yellow/Red
White

I would take, in order:

Special Edition Yellow/Red (so I can be even more exclusive!!:))
World Rally Blue (the easier to take care of blue)
White (better looking with gold wheels than silver)
Silver
Blue Ridge Pearl (nice color, already have, a bitch to keep clean)

I'm really looking at the silver, but I'm not feeling the gold rims. I want to keep the STi pure, so I'm having a problem deciding if I want to put after market rims on it. My wife like the blue/black color, but dosent want another dark car. (current one is black) So she wants me to get the rally blue. To many choices :(

Hmm,
some good points. I think the silver looks good, but the gold wheels do NOT look good at all.

I am thinking maybe selling the wheels if I decide to get the car over here...I know several people that would buy them and then take the money and buy some anthracite p1s or p7s...i like that look better, but i do like gold, just not on the silver.

Has anyone heard about cheap paint with these cars?

DONT sell the wheels and if you do seriously i WILL buy them and pay the shipping, im getting a WRX and was considering a few Speedline wheels, but STi wheels are much better for me.

my girlfriend likes these but they'd be hard to custom fit b/c of their design.

for silver i like these for ease of installation b/c their readily availbe to fit the WRX. if i get a silver WRX these will go on it.

and my favs, absolutely AWESOME looking and soo very beefy, yet they only weight 21lbs for 18*7.5 also "only" $1400 from http://www.rallyperformance.com/scoobysport.htm they look good on EVERY color but silver IMHO. these would look so good on a green WRX/STi. why cant i get a freggin GREEN WRX!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!????!?!?!??? green and gold look better than blue and gold.

but back to the colors. the blue black mica looks awesome. the WR blue is awesome. silver is awesome. and uh, white is awesome. all colors i can get on my WRX, so im in the same boat as you guys. but if they offered the WRX in the 2.5TS wagon savanna green i would get that no doubt. but they dont, at least not yet. so its either blue, black, white, or silver. drats.

imput is GREATLY appreciated. i needs the help.

I don't believe they offer all STi colors in the WRX...I thought it was WR blue, silver, red, black...and yellow.

In the WRX I would get the silver..no doubt..then blue, then black, then red, then yellow.

I like all the wheels you show except the first ones. Everyother one is right on.

Also check out www.tirerack.com they have some really nice Prodrive wheels.

Depends on what happens..I may buy and if I do I will contact you if I sell the wheels...we'll see.

I don't know about these colors that are like, "it's black, but if you look at in the direct sunlight it's kind of dark blue, and from a certain angle it looks sort of purple".

Black should be black. Red should be red. Etc.

The black is a pearl effect, kind of like mettalic. It is black, but in direct sunlight has shades of a really dark blue with all sorts of other colors...looks really so I have been told.

Went and sat in a blue one today. MAGNIFICENT CAR!!! Right now the wife and I are debating on price, etc...

I have really been thinking about this lately. Originally I wanted WRB, but after seeing 4 WRB WRXs just on my way to work today I think I am leaning more towards white. Any other vehicle and silver would probably be my first choice, but with gold rims it does not look good at all. Blue Black is not an option for a daily driven car, which my STi will be. After owning one black car that was driven everyday... never again. So I am thinking a nice white STi would be real nice. Better yet that limited edition yellow one I just saw a pic of, with the black front spoiler, wing, and side view mirrors and a black STi down the side would really be the shit especially if it had 320hp.

Speaking of special edition colors... JJ what is that yellow/red combo you mentioned above??? Got any pics of that one? That might be top on my list. Like you said, I wouldn't mind being even more exclusive.

I think it looks OK...

I say this b/c I like the look fo the Type-RA better..its a sleeper..or more so than the sticker part!

To keep it cool like that I would have all the same colo body molding, maybe the front lip a carbon fiber piece and either painted or left alone, no sticker...looks like everyone else trying to make their car look fast!

I think a black version of that car would be sweet....except for the graphics on the side..YUCK!

hey ground effects are worth 15hp man! 25hp if they're still white/black! window visor stickers are worth 10hp for the front one and 15hp for the rear! and the body graphics are worth another 15hp. so thats where that extra hp came from!!!!! honestly its probably just a RA w/ all the STi aftermarket suspension crap and a tweaked ECU. everyone has been saying that the STi has 320hp but is rated at 276hp. makes sense, look at Nissan and their gorgous skyline, rated at 276hp but really being 380hp.....

the carbon-fibre hood scoop looks good as FUK though!!!! black and yellow are good together. loose the giant STi lettering and id drive it even if it was $45,000+. the STi oil cooler is $2100. there is SO MUCH STi stuff that DOESNT come on the STi. partially why im getting a WRX is b/c the STi doesnt come w/ the lateral link kit. and i can get the STi suspension on my WRX from the dealer now for $1800 plus $300 install. im all about the cusco coilovers. $2000 for 60mm ride height adjustablity, adjustable rebound, and built in cusco camber plates front and back.

*** uh isnt cusco like the onroad racing partner of STi? or something to that effect? b/c all of their parts seem to be based towards road racing. and since im in texas w/ nothing but flat ground i need the onroad suspension.
