Hi, I'm new on here, specifically joined to get help with this problem. I bought my 2013 sti hatch about 2 years ago had 22,000 miles on it and came with cobb intake and an exhaust (not sure brand). Also came with a version 2 accessport. The accessport crapped out on me over the winter dont know what happened to it just wont turn on, so I bought a new v3 accessport. Anyways just about a week ago cel comes on and i check on my port and code p0024 LH exhaust pops up. Ive been trying to look this up on my own but im just unsure if im coming up with the right solution.. I think I need a subaru oem oil control valve (ocv) or a avcs solenoid(which im not sure which to get), Im not sure. Can anyone offer me any incite on this? Also idk if this is related or not, but ever since ive had this car, in between 2,800-3,200 rpms, the car sometimes sputters it gives a little quick jerk. It can do it in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear and it doesnt do it everytime, like if it does it in 2nd it wont do it in higher gears then. But after i stop and accelerate, it might do it again and it might be in a different gear. I'd appreciate if someone could help me out with this, bc nearest dealer is 3 hours away and nearest half decent mechanic is 2. I've always done all mechanic work to my other cars but this is my 1st subaru and 1st turbo vehicle. Thanks for the advice

there are a number of reasons for this code.

1. Low Oil pressure
2. Dirty oil/clogged AVCS solenoid
3. bad sensor
4. Timing is off

Have you changed your oil recently? if so, I'd pull the solenoid and clean it really well. Make sure its not gunked up.

Go from there

Yea oils good umm on my accessport i put four monitors up with avcs exh left, avcs exh right, avcs in left, and avcs in right. Exh right would go up to 25 and in left & right would go to 15, but the exh left would stay at 0 and go to 1 once in awhile. So i would need to check the left exhaust solenoid??? Where is that located about? Im waiting on a service manual and a haynes guide but until then id like to check the solenoid out... thanks for the help..

Update..... problem fixed, replaced left side oil control valve and assembly holder which is drivers side on the bottom of engine. Also replaced ground wires going to oil control valve left and right side because they were corroded bad. Now on my accessport avcs intake left/right read same, and avcs exhaust left/right read the same. Before avcs exhaust left was reading 0 sometimes jumping to 1 or 2. Cel has stayed off and car is running great.
